There are 10 basic shapes of diamonds you can choose from with round being one of them. Shape is a very important part of the decision making when choosing a diamond.

The shape of the diamond is little bit different then the cut of the diamond. The difference between cut and shape is that the cut refers to the number of facets in a finished diamond and how those facets are proportioned in the gem’s diamond. Different shapes have a different number of facets, and each particular shape has different proportions that will give is the best overall appearance.

Round shaped diamonds also known as Round Brilliant shape is one of the most popular diamond shapes in the market today. Asscher

Asscher shape is one of the most rare and sought after diamond shapes in the market. What sets the asscher shapes apart from the other shapes is it is uniquely angled and cropped corners, which is considered a revolutionary concept when it was first cut by Joseph Asscher. The asscher cut does have some resemblance to almost identical to the emerald cut. The only two differences are that asscher is square.

Experts compare the shine and brilliance of the asscher shape to a hallway lined with reflective mirrors, radiating a great deal of brilliance. There are some things that you need to think about when selecting asscher as a shape.
